Psalm91:15 Take me to Zambia

"I want to be spiritually and emotionally filled every day of my life. I want to share God's love with people who otherwise might not know it. I want to work so hard that I end every day filthy and too tired to move. I want to feel needed, important, used by the Lord. I want to make a difference and I want to follow the calling that God has planted deep in my heart. i want to give my life away, to serve the Lord with each breath, each second.- (K.Davis, personal hero of mine, look her up)" The Lord has asked me to Go, to Go and answer this calling that He has planted so deep in my heart. While I don't know specifically where He will plant me, I believe it is time to do some exploring. My heart is with children with disabilities. My dear friend, Beth, works for a non-profit organization in Lusaka, Zambia. The Special Hope Network is a faith-based, nonprofit organization that works to properly care for, teach, and invest loving support in orphans and vulnerable children who have intellectual disabilities in Southern Africa. In January 2014 I would like to spend 2 weeks in Zambia, serving alongside the Special Hope Network and seeing if this might be where the Lord is asking me to go. My name is Danielle and I am currently a full time student at the University of Mary Washington studying Psychology. On top of being a student, I also work two jobs averaging 20-25 hours a week and volunteer lead for Young Life Capernaum, a faith-based mentorship program for kids and young adults with disabilities. I am putting myself through school and with that money is hard to come by. But I believe the Lord has made this a dream and passion of mine for a reason.
