For my entire life my mom, Lisa, has been the epitome of strength, resolve and courage. No matter the challenge faced, she has always displayed the greatest character and always came away stronger and wiser.
That is no different now. In February she was diagnosed with Stage IV Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. She has since endured multiple treatments of chemo and will soon be undergoing Stem-cell transplant procedures to further fight against this disease.
My mom has always been on the move, constantly on the go and never one to simply relax for an extended amount of time. Since being diagnosed, and undergoing chemo and the necessary shots and appointments, she has been unable to work at a job she loves and people she loves working with. Never being one to ask for anything she cannot do for herself, I did not notice how close to dire my parents' finacial situation is as a result. The medical bills are continuing to add and my parents are now facing a stressful move to a new home in the next couple of months.
My mom never asks for anything, and she isnt starting now, My family and I are asking anyone and everyone if they could, to offer anything to help a beautiful, strong and above all, courageous woman beat this disease and become a testiment of victory and resolve to other people who may face the same test.
