For Paul and Mia

Donation protected
On Friday March 25th, Paul was involved in a motor vehicle accident in Australia, where he has been working and living for the past 5 years. Paul and his friend were taking their dogs for a day at the beach when their vehicle was hit and Paul broke his 2nd, 3rd, and 4th vertebrae. He was airlifted to Brisbane and underwent surgery. Although he had been given a diagnosis of being quadriplegic, within days he showed tremendous progress by being able to move his arms and legs slightly at will. His hands, feet, and midriff, however, remained paralyzed.
Paul’s beloved adopted dog, Mia, survived the accident and has been able to visit with Paul during his rehab process thus far. Thanks to his incredible boss Peter and Peter’s family, Mia has been well taken care of throughout this journey. They have also been an excellent support system to Paul and his family and friends here in the states.
In early July, Paul and Mia will be transferred to The Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in New Jersey. It will be an arduous journey, yet necessary for Paul to receive the level of recovery he is bound and determined to achieve. Paul’s spirit has not waivered to this point (albeit a few swear words), and all that know him can imagine his absolute resolution in regaining the adventurous lifestyle he knows and loves so well.
This page is dedicated to raising funds for the transport of Paul and Mia and their continued journey once here.
