Help Robin get to the Mayo Clinic.

My name is Heidi James; I started this to help raise money for my mother, Robin James.

In 2001 my mother was diagnosed with Crohn's disease and was taken in for an emergency surgery to repair 15 cm of small bowel. The surgery was unsuccessful and due to complications she ended up losing 80 cm of small bowel. Once she was healed from her surgery, she began receiving  Remicaid treatments for several years in Utah, with no positive outcome and experiencing severe abdominal swelling with pain in her liver area.

My mother's family physician found a surgeon to perform another exploratory surgery on her; he removed a blanket of scar tissue that covered her entire abdominal wall and that she in fact did not have Crohn's disease or any other disease. He did however find that the original doctor had put her bowel back inside of her incorrectly and that he left 7.5 inches of dead bowel inside of her.

Fast forward to 2016, and now due to a combination of the Remicaid treatments she received, toxins from the dead bowel, diabetes and non-alcoholic liver disease, my mother is now headed into having stage 4 liver failure. Due to the amount of scar tissue from the past surgeries, they feel that she would not have a good success rate with a liver transplant.

She was referred to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. by her liver doctor, to see if there is hope for a liver transplant.

Because my Mother is disabled, she does not have the funds to get to the Mayo Clinic. We are raising the money to get her there. If you can help with a donation, sharing her page, or even just a prayer, we would deeply appreciate it and be forever grateful to you.
