Amity - Victim of Domestic Violence

Donation protected
Amity Lovelace is my daughter who got caught up in a bad domestic violence situation on Saturday, March 3 2018.   She's been home recovering from surgery after having sustained a workman's comp injury.

She told her abusive husband that she wanted to leave him, and he freaked out and in a tirade of verbal abuse, beat her, choked her, threw her on the floor and stomped on her back.  He bashed her on the back of her head, took her phone, and then got a gun and held her at bay.  In pain, dazed and fearing for her life, she was able to get to a laptop and post help messages on Facebook.  When the police started to show up, her abusive husband ran outside and told them she had a gun and was going to kill him.  As a result, she was tased and arrested for aggravated domestic abuse, a felony.  No-one asked her what her side of the story was.  No-one documented her injuries.

We got her bailed out of jail, but at this point she has just the clothes on her back and nothing else - no identification, no access to credit cards or her bank,  no clothes, no nothing.   Her beloved Diamond was last seen being kicked by her husband.  Several attempts with law enforcement in attendance to have essential items released by her husband have failed as he will not answer the phone or answer the door.   She is staying in a Safe Place with the help of friends and family.

Amity has sought the help of a domestic abuse attorney who is requiring a $2500.00 retainer for the first 10 hours, and $1500.00 thereafter.  This is a desperate need as she is due to go to court.  It is killing her to ask for help and states that she has swallowed the last ounce of what's left of her pride, so I am asking for her.

She needs $1000 raised by tomorrow noon (Friday, March 9) for attorney's fees.  Anything above that will also be used for continuing attorney fees for her defense.

We can't let this bastard win.  He needs to go to jail for what he has done to her and the lies he told the police.  (We'll be dealing with her law enforcement horrors after this is resolved, but that's another story.)

Please help Amity.   Any amount you can give will be a godsend.
