Student travel expenses to Japan

Donation protected
Dr. Lisse has been invited to be a session keynote speaker at the World Congress of Smart Materials in Osaka, Japan in March. The World Congress committee found out that the research was conducted in an undergraduate laboratory and offered the students an opportunity to present a poster presentation. Dr. Lisse's two students, Georgia College Undergraduate Chemistry major Melanie Schellman and Baldwin High School senior and Young Scientists Academy researcher Alexis Roberson, will be presenting their work and traveling to Japan with Dr. Lisse.

The University will assist Dr. Lisse and Melanie with travel expenses but since Alexis is still in high school they are unable to help her. We are a team and can't leave anyone behind! Please help us raise enough funds for both students to go on this amazing (once in a lifetime) educational opportunity in Japan.

If there are any funds remaining after the trip, we will give them to Alexis as a graduation gift and headstart for college.
