Basketball Dreams- DLA

This week the students were excited to have their second annual visit from Coach Aaron of the Detroit Pistons.  He spoke to the students about making good choices even when everyone around them is making the wrong choice.  His message asked our students to have the courage to stick up for the underdog and simply "Be a Good Person".  

Coach Aaron also offered the students a wonderful opportunity to attend a Pistons Game at a discounted price.  Students can purchase tickets for $20 each.  Unfortunately this price is still unaffordable for many of our families.  Through Gofundme we'd love to sponsor 10 families and send them to the game on April 12th.  For every two tickets bought, the Pistons will give us a third for free.  That means for $40 dollars we can send three students to see their first professional basketball game.  Any amount will help even a donation of $5 towards a ticket will help us reach our goal. 

The Pistons are also donating $5 back to the school for every ticket purchased.  Your donation will not only help a student be inspired by the magic of basketball but will also help our school continue to fund our goal of developing the whole child.
