Papa Lenny is 67 years old and has been diagnosed with inoperable Pancreatic cancer. Papa Lenny is my step-dad who has been married to my mom for 17 years. Papa has been a "papa" to my girls like they are his own (see video attached: Papa with his girls Ella (aka "Wild Jessie") and Georgia (aka "Gigi"). I did not have my own grandparents involved in my life as Papa has been so very involved in theirs. He has written numerous songs about the girls (one of them in the video) and they both say they want to marry their "papa."
So now to the gloomy medical diagnosis....Papa Lenny's medical oncologist doctor advised him that he has a 20% chance of reducing the tumor's size with chemotherapy and radiation which will not make it curable, but perhaps reduce it enough to make it operable. Even if operable, the MAX lifespan is 5 years. Even with this treatment (which has a 20% chance), Papa's immune system will be extremely compromised!
