Memorial bench for Grace Patricia Hamnett

Hi my name is elysha. I recently lost my gorgeous 11 year old sister in a tragic accident. Grace had just past a scholarship to get into private school in September 2021. unfortunately grace passed away on the 28th may 2021 after a long week at alder hay and them trying there best, we found out grace had brain damage there was nothing going for her, and we had to turn her machines off. my mum had grace cremated. And she has no resting place at the moment, we have been waiting for the go ahead of the church and school now we have that and there is room for a bench for grace in hale village where her family & all of her friends have a resting place to sit with grace. I’m doing this for my mum so she doesn’t have more stress with everything she is already going through, Hopefully it’s a nice surprise for her & somewhere she can go to get some healing for her self.

alot of graces friends mums have asked about a resting place for grace where they can take them to, so will be great for them.

So graces uncle Jeff who is 70 and had a stroke not so long back, has put himself forward to do a mile of swimming and a 5 mile walk to raise money for Graces bench. And some of graces school friends want to get involved in the walk to. So I thought I would set the go fund me up for people who want to sponsor him and try help us get a nice memorial for our Amazing Grace & my mum at this sad time. For everyone who knew grace knows just how perfect, clever, happy, bright, child she was. She was an amazing friend, amazing sister, amazing auntie. Amazing cousin Amazing niece Amazing granddaughter. & of course an Amazing daughter. She would help anyone.

I also think not only for us is this going to be good to sit with grace at a resting place also my younger brother James who was a year younger than grace & my daughter Olivia who is graces niece was 4 years younger than grace, the 3 of them were inseparable and the best of friends I think they would love this and love time there with grace. With It being graces 12th birthday on the 19th January this could be a place we can go for graces birthday next year, we’re we can take gifts, flowers & balloons. So there is a lot of reason for the memorial bench.

If there is more money raised and anything left over when we have got graces bench it will be sent to alder hay hospital.
