Help Me Help Daisy

Daisy D. Urben is in need of some cardiac tests, some chest x-rays, some blood work and some additional vet procedures.
When I fostered and adopted Daisy (9/30/20) she was so very scared and her anxiety was truly nothing I have ever witnessed in an animal. 
She was not scared of other dogs or cats, but humans truly terrified her and she still is so very scared when another person comes into her visual range. 
Her anxiety poses a serious safety risk to her. When trying to flee from more than one person in her "circle", Daisy will bolt to the point she will run into walls, doors, corners of cupboards etc. 
Daisy came from Louisiana where she had been at a pet sanctuary and the county, state and other authorities removed all the animals that were at this location. I will include the video of where she came from.

Daisy has Chronic Heart Failure,  Stage B2 Chronic Degenerative Valve Disease, she has a Grade 3-4 Heart Murmur, she tested negative for Heartworm on 8/21/20. Her last bloodwork showed that her T4 was low which favors a Hypothyroidism diagnosis.

Currently Daisy's medications cost approximately $426.00. 
I have her covered under PetRx however it does not cover her cardiac medication, Vetmedin (pimobendan) which is currently out of stock pretty much everywhere. The Veterinarian can get it and provide it to me monthly until the medication is back in stock however, it costs $220. 00 just a 1 month supply.

Daisy has currently had a complete dental where there were extractions that needed to be done due to poor condition of her mouth. Her dental at this time is very much up to date.
She has been spayed. 
She is microchipped and is registered through PetFinder.
Daisy is UTD (up to date) on all Vaccines. 

Daisy takes Prozac and takes Trazodone for her severe anxiety. 
Our goal is to be able to get Daisy to a point where these 2 meds are no longer needed. 
Her anxiety concerns me with her having Chronic Heart Failure.
Daisy takes Denamarin to help with support and maintaining healthy liver functions.
Daisy does wear an Adaptil Collar. Adaptil is a non-toxic synthetic dog pheromone designed to send calming messages to dogs.
It is available as a travel spray, a collar, and a plug-in diffuser.  I use the collar and the diffuser currently.
Adaptil is recommended to calm anxious and fearful dogs and to boost confidence.

Daisy has a "half dollar size" lump on her right front paw. 
It is located right in the bend of her paw/leg. At her Vet appt on 10/28/20 I asked Dr. Torrence to take a look at this area. I had spoke to the shelter about this spot and they told me that they attempted to express something from it to have it examined however nothing would come out from it. It does not cause her pain that I can tell and she does not favor it in any way.  Dr. Torrence felt that perhaps down the road a sample can be taken from it and sent in to the Lab. He did say that surgically removing this would be extremely difficult due to where it is located. There is not extra skin to use to close the area should it ever be removed. And that is directly in/on the bendable point of her paw and leg. 

Dr. Torrence did a visual field exam where it was observed Daisy's vision is impaired. 
This could very much be a huge contributing factor of what could be causing her severe anxiety, the ability to not be able to see as a normal dog would be able to. 

Daisy has never known a life outside of a cage. 
She has never known that humans can be kind, can be compassionate and can most importantly.... be trusted.

Daisy's personality comes through more as each day passes. 
She absolutely loves to see herself in the mirror. 
She is so kind and easy going to other animals. 
She has never once shown any sign of aggression towards De11e & Donne, her feline siblings. She lets them eat out of her dog bowl with her! She shares her water bowl with them too!

For as much as Daisy has gone through in her lifetime (her approx. age is 9) you would think she would in fact show signs of aggression. 
Never, not one single time has she shown any towards myself, the shelter team or her vet team.

Her Vet said to give her whatever treats she wants, as she was and still is underweight. She has gained 4 pounds since being adopted.
Her favorite treats are Chicken Jerky, Turkey Jerky, Original Flavor Pup-Peroni. 

She does, NOT like Bacon, or Peanut-Butter - at all.

It was so nice to see her finally enjoy a "treat" - she has never been given them while caged at the sanctuary. 

She does not play with toys yet - she has some ready for her when she is ready.
She absolutely loves her cushioned bed and her fluffy blankets.

She rolls her eyes at me when I put a new outfit on her. She has sweaters, a jacket, a few dresses, pajamas, and a "Hoodie".  She has never seen snow and I am sure she will not be too keen to that at all. 

Daisy has a 2 Hounds Design Freedom No Pull Dog Harness and Leash. Daisy IS a flight risk. Should she ever get loose, her anxiety would overpower her and she truly would be gone and her safety is always a huge concern for me.

The reason I am starting this Gofund Me for her is so that hopefully I can get the Cardiac follow -ups done for her. 
I need her to have a complete blood work panel done.
I really would like to have a sample taken of the area on her right front paw and sent in to the lab for mere piece of mind and should it be something serious have the ability to fix it for her.


I want to stay proactive on her dental needs. She needed it so badly and I want to maintain this for her.

Daisy's monthly medications are so very costly right now with the one cardiac medication out of stock via the manufacturer, as well as the other meds she must take right now.

After I lost Dobby Urben (ironically from chronic heart failure), I was truly heartbroken, not a day goes by that I don't think about him or call out to him. 
Dobby Urben would want Daisy to have that 2nd chance like he got 9 years ago.
No dog would ever be abused, be neglected, go hungry or be alone if Dobby Urben had a say.

I have never been one to ask for help. I always felt if I couldn't get it on my own, it was my sign that I did not need it.

This is different....

This is not for me, this is not about me.
It is for Daisy D. Urben who didn't ask to be kept in a cage for years, to be used as a mere breeding object, to have very little human contact and to only know the feeling of being hungry instead of full and in need of medical care but none was ever given. To know the feeling of unconditional love....
Daisy has her 2nd chance now at life where for the first time ever she will be taken care of, she will be loved and she will be shown never ending compassion and kindness.
From the moment I spotted her "Ad"  on the AWLA Shelter website - there was pull towards her. 

Please help me, help Daisy.

There is no such thing as "it's just a dog".  All animals deserve to experience kindness with no limits and love with absolutely nothing hindering it.
