Carter Fighting Cancer

Hello, my name is Carter. Last month my Mommy and Daddy (Jenn & Chris) noticed a lump on my shoulder. After a few doctor visits, including an unpleasant shave and biopsy, I have been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (degenerative bond cancer). The tumor is very painful. I have a hard time walking and enjoying the things I used to do. I love running in the field, going to the park, and being around people.

My Mommy and Daddy took me to see a very nice Cancer Doctor lady. She says that my type of cancer is usually untreatable except for taking my leg or treating the pain until it is unbearable. However, due to the location of my tumor, we actually have a couple of other options. One is to remove the shoulder blade where the tumor is growing. Another is to try a new radiation treatment that will attack the tumor and maybe make it go away. The new treatment is in Colorado and I live in Texas.

Mommy and Daddy say the next step is a CT Scan to see if either of these treatments would be good for me. The scan and both of these treatments are very expensive. My Mommy and Daddy are very heartbroken and having a hard time finding the money for treatment. They cry a lot and are very worried about me. It makes me sad to see them so upset. I am hoping that other fur baby Mommies and Daddies or anyone that loves animals might be able to help.  Anything including prayers, well wishes, and good vibes will be appreciated. We do not know how much the treatment will cost. If I am able to raise more than the selected treatment will cost, all extra money will be donated to a charity or foundation that helps animals in need.
