The Sue Grant medical fund

Donation protected
Many of you may know Sue. If you don't, we would like to share her story here. Sue is a devoted mom and elementary school art teacher and loyal friend to many of us. Unfortunately she suffers from a serious kidney disease. We would love to help with her with her medical finances, and also put out a plea for a kidney donation!  Sue has many, many travel and medical expenses that add up very, very quickly.
You can read all about it here.

" I have polycystic kidney disease which is a hereditary disease and there is no cure. ADPKD is one of the most common life-threatening genetic diseases, affecting 1 in 500 worldwide. Parents with the dominant form of PKD have a 50 percent chance of passing the disease on to each of their children. It causes cysts to grow in the kidneys until the cysts take over all off the functional kidney tissue. Over time, these cysts grow and multiply, causing the kidney to increase dramatically in size. While a normal kidney is about the size of a human fist, PKD kidneys can grow to be the size of a football and weigh as much as 38 pounds each I am in kidney failure now and need dialysis 3 times a week for 4 hour sessions to stay alive. I am on the donor list but it is a 5-7 year wait for my blood type. My blood type is O+.
I am a single mom to two middle school boys and I am an art teacher.I want to keep working as an art teacher because it is my passion. " ~ Sue
