IN MEMORY OF MUM & CARE FROM ‘HOSPICE AT HOME’

Donation protected

On the morning of Sunday 21st February, our hearts became broken. Our beautiful Mum passed peacefully in her home, following a short battle with an aggressive and inoperable brain tumour.

A loving Mum, mother in law, nanny, sister, stepmum, auntie and friend. Adored and respected by so many, for her infectious smile, laugh, beauty, kindness, humour, intelligence and strength. Our family would like to thank people for kindness, condolences & sympathy at this really difficult time.

Our mum was our backbone and she’ll never, ever be replaced. To say she’s given us a fantastic life would be an understatement. Her kids and grandkids gave her so much zest for life and were her forefront, right up until she could no longer fight. Our lives will never be the same.

Mum knew this disease would quickly shorten her life. But her determination and selflessness was incredible. She was an unbelievable inspiration and the best role model anyone could wish for.

We nursed mum at home and couldn’t have done it without the additional help and support from’Hospice at Home’ via Wrexham Maelor Hospital. Visiting 3 times a day, dealing with so many rapid and difficult changes.

Solely run on donations, we know Mum would’ve wanted to give back. Palliative care during Covid was hard. Caring for and losing your mum at any time is beyond painful, but when resources are limited, the heartbreak we faced became more intense. Hospice at Home Wrexham did their utmost to support mum and us, as best they could, during these difficult times.

Anything can donate to this wonderful organisation, in memory of mum and the end of life care she was given, would be greatly received. It’s the very least that can be done.

I hope we find a cure for this evil disease that has taken far too many lives, far too early.

Sadly, funeral numbers are limited to 30 people. We wish we didn’t have to discount anyone and wish we could fill the place in honour of our Mum. The funeral will take place at Blacon Crematorium on Wednesday 10th March at 10.40am.

We welcome you to stay outside before, during and after the 30 minute service. Familiar faces will offer comfort following the cremation. A parting respect to our beautiful Mum. Any personal touches are welcome. Letting off balloons, or mums favourite flowers were lilies

(Please distance from one another if you can, or wear a mask. Mum was a rule obeyer )

Mum requested ‘BLING’ - anything sparkly would be nice to see, but no obligation

There will also be an e- link to watch the service, for any of mums additional family / friends / colleagues who wish to attend remotely. (Available for 7 days). Please contact me directly for this.

With love and thanks,

Faye, James & family xx
