Randi's fight for her life

Donation protected
Randi Rovetto is one of those rare individuals whose contagious smile lights up the room.  She is truly unselfish, kind, intelligent, compassionate, witty, and resourceful.   Her life has been filled with exciting careers, financial setbacks and struggles raising two children with disabilities when their own mother couldn’t.  Randi is always the person to call if you need any kind of support, always the life of the party with wonderful stories. .. never complaining about her lot in life.

Randi was diagnosed with breast cancer in Fall of 2015.  She had the surgery to remove the breast and recovered well.  Her lab results were amazing, all clear.  Because of the threat of further problems, she decided to have the other breast removed in February 2016.

This surgery should have been less intrusive, however, complications arose and the recovery is still painful.  While investigating a pain in her back the doctors discovered a growth along the spine.  As if that weren’t alarming enough, they also discovered spots in her lungs and an enlarged liver.  She is undergoing tests now, appointments with the Oncologist and Nutritionist and pending chemotherapy.

Because of an injury, Randi is on disability and relies on Medicaid.  She continues to function on a daily basis and parent her son (who is Autistic and Diabetic) but struggles financially.  With the high cost of medical procedures and recovery, Randi needs help with medical expenses, home health care, transportation costs and oversight for her son.  At a time where she is fighting for her very life, Randi is also worried about her son's care and how this is affecting him.

Randi has a terrific support system with friends and family rallying around, offering whatever help she needs.  However, those friends, as wonderful as they are, are not able to provide the funding necessary to fight and beat this dreaded disease.

If you have endured Cancer, or know someone who has, you can understand and empathize with the mental, physical and financial struggles Randi has in her path.   Randi consistently performs random acts of kindness.  Please help her now.
