Autistic Child Now Battling Cancer

Donation protected
Kenny is a sweet 17 year old boy with Autism. He is always smiling and full of life. Now, as if his life isn’t enough of a struggle, he has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, which is cancer of the lymphatic system. Kenny’s mom, who is also a cancer survivor, had to give up working to care for all of Kenny’s needs. His parents need to travel with him to Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital in New York City once a week. He needs to undergo an aggressive treatment of chemotherapy for the next six months. As you can imagine, this is very difficult for him to understand as an autistic child. One of his daily struggles includes being able to communicate. He is unable to share his emotions like a usual teenage boy. He shares his love of life by interacting with his cat and dog, swimming in the pool, and visiting with friends and family.

Kenny and his family have remained strong throughout this life changing condition and are determined to beat this cancer as a team. The Luberts family are the most caring individuals and would give the world to anyone who needed it. Their deductibles and other expenses for his care are very difficult to meet. They are in great need of help and highly appreciate the generosity of the community. Thank you in advance for helping to ease the burden of these hardships while Kenny battles cancer.
