Supporting Black Owned Nonprofits

In honor of Black History Month, Shoulder to Shoulder has made it its mission to support black-owned nonprofits in any way possible. One of those nonprofits is Empowering the Masses. Founded by Tammy Johnson, one of their biggest efforts to help the community involved hosting a food pantry in East Dallas. They serve numerous people in need every Saturday through this alone. To support their cause, we have decided to both volunteer at their food pantry centers and raise money to help them buy a stand-up freezer that could hold more food for a longer period of time, therefore making a larger impact on the community.
