Road to Recovery ❤️

For those people that know my mom, they will tell you how unconditionally she loves her family. She is the type of person that always puts family and friends first and will never hesitate to go the extra mile for any one of us. She is an incredible mother, daughter, sister, wife, and grandmother that has taught myself along with my family the definition of what makes a hardworking, dedicated person. She has over 20 plus years of being a loving and caring nanny/housekeeper that treated those families as if they were a part of hers. She is the rock of the family and always managed to keep us close no matter the occasion. 

About a year ago she began to have severe pains that would not go away in her back, chest, stomach, ribs, feet and hands. She had episodes where she would feel nauseous and would get headaches. Sometimes the pain is so bad that she isn't  able to sleep through the night.  Simple daily tasks like getting out of bed or walking down the stairs almost began to be impossible because of the unbearable pain. She's lost her appetite and has lost a lot of weight. No matter how much she rested or how much medication she took the pains would not go away. A few weeks after these pains, she unfortunately lost her job. We took her to several doctors and specialist that all gave her different diagnosis. Luckily, about 3 weeks ago we were able to pin point what was causing the pain and was diagnosed with a Herniated Disk.  This is a slipped disk that with any little discomfort can lead to the disk hurting the other nearby spinal nerves. The discomfort in my mom’s disk is so severe that the disk has begun to damage multiple nerves around her spine, affecting her entire body.  Doctors found two hernias  in one of her disks which are responsible for the pains. Doctors also discovered two bacteria’s in her blood that she will now have to take antibiotics for. 

These past months have been heavy on my mom along with my family. As one of the sole provider of our household and with her illness, this has impacted all of us financially, physically and mentally. Since Medical has not covered most of her medical bills like her various checkups, x-rays, mammograms, MRIs, medical prescriptions and blood work the road to her recovery has not been a good one. All of her Medical expenses are coming out of pocket. With your help, my mom can continue her doctor visits, pay for her prescriptions, continue her treatments, and alleviate some of her financial struggles. Any contribution helps it will relieve  a lot of stress from my family. You're help will be greatly appreciated. My mom is my rock and it kills me to see her in so much pain.
