Julie May has been nominated by the administrators at Githens Middle School, where she's a 6th grader, to attend the 2013 National Young Leaders State Conference based on her academic achievement, leadership potential, maturity and responsibility.
This is a unique leadership program for exceptional young leaders and is by invitation only. In addition to meeting significant academic requirements, teachers only select students who have proven they will get the most out of this unparalleled opportunity.
Over the last three years, only four students from Githens have had the opportunity to attend. You can learn more about the program here.
