My Fight of Stage 4 Cancer

It’s been a Roller Coaster ride since lastt year beginning with Hernia surgery last August. We got through that with no issues.
Then in October developed a swollen neck and was misdiagnosed of stopped up Salivary glands that turned out to be an infection under 2 of my Molars that eventually eroded a hole through my jaw filling the glands in my neck. Luckily we caught that early as it started to cut my airway off.
Spent several days in the hospital to drain and treat until the infection was gone.
From there we removed the 2 molars and done bone graphs on the Jaw in November. In the process we found several more small infections all with no warning signs if I might add.
We went on to do full extractions and full dental implants January 26th.Yeah at this point we are into these issues for over $60k at this point.
Well since the last surgery my level 2 and level 3 Lymph node has been swollen on my left side. Not thinking much of it thinking it was just in the healing process and would ultimately go down.
Well it has never went down. So we went back to my ENT and he pulled a biopsy and sent me in for a CT scan March 30th.
The following week I got the dreadful phone call that I had Squamous cell carcinomas of the neck. Meaning they found “Cancer cells” in my Lymph Nodes measuring over 3.5 cm meaning stage 4 Cancer.
It appears it’s my left Tonsil and it looks to be treatable at this point.
Surgery was done at Holmes Regional in Melbourne the 19th of April  to Remove the Lymph Nodes and both Tonsils plus my uvula. 8 weeks of Chemo plus Radiation plus Chemo treatments begins May 21st.

I usually don’t ask anyone for nothing, but in this case I am asking for Prayers not only for me but for my family as we are going to fight this thing with everything we have, and any assistance we can get along the way. I will be out of work potentially a month  as according to my doctors fatigue will set in keeping me from working along with other complications that I’m not looking forward too. Not to mention my insurance is playing the card of what they will cover and not as if they know what I need rather than taking the advice of my doctors.
I refuse to let this beat me. As with any Cancer at this stage there is no 100% guarantee  but I will stay positive throughout this whole process not only for me but for my Wife and kid.

I want to thank My wife and kid along with family and friends in the Diesel community along with others for the overwhelming support. It pains my heart to have to do this but sometimes you have to swallow you’re pride and ask for support that’s needed to get you through these unfortunate circumstances.
