G'day All.
I'm Zachary part of a small Astronomy club base in Bright in beautiful Northeast Victoria. It is a small friendly group that meets once a month for viewing at the Porepunkah Airport taking advantage of the dark skies in the area.
For many years we have been running outreach events for local community groups like the Scouts and the local Schools with members generously using their own equipment. We run the events so we can teach the local kids the wonders of our Solar System, the Universe and to help spread the knowledge of Astronomy to the younger generation.
This year, we have decide that the club should purchase it's own equipment like a telescope. Our goal is to rise $2200 to purchase 2 telescopes which would enable us to continue teaching the wonders of Astronomy.
If we are able to reach our goal the knowledge of Astronomy will continue to live on in our younger generation. THANKS.
