Costa Rica Childcare Program

Thank you for visiting my GoFundMe page! This May I will be volunteering through International Volunteer Headquarters in which I will be doing childcare work in Costa Rica for 3 weeks. The program is aimed to providing individual attention and assistance to children from difficult backgrounds in Costa Rica. Due to the increase of neighboring countries immigrating to Costa Rica, there has been an increase in unemployment, homelessness, and poverty, which has left many children lacking the affection and education they deserve. As a volunteer, we will strive to improve educational, emotional, and hygiene conditions of these children and will be working in orphanages, community centers, daycare centers, schools, soup kitchens, and kindergartens. As I am going for most of the month of May (my birthday month!) all I am asking for for my birthday from family and friends is to help support me volunteer. Program fees (which you can see specific allocations on IVHQ website) come to a little over $1,000, which does not include flight costs, visa, etc. This will truly be an amazing experience and I appreciate any small/big contribution you can provide!
