Support for Hunter

Hi, my name is Heather and I am fundraising for my son Hunter. Hunter turned 22 while in the hospital this April after being hit as a pedestrian by a car driving 80mph. It was the most terrifying moment to see Hunter this way and we nearly lost him many times.

Hunter was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. After graduating from East High School, Hunter began attending UAA and working toward his Health Science Bachelor degree. He was four weeks from graduation when this happened.

Hunter is a loving son and grandson. Before this accident, Hunter provided a lot of care for his grandmother, taking her to appointments, shoveling for her, and doing her grocery shopping. I am grateful to have such a caring son. Hunter loves his cat Snickers, photography, gaming, football, rock climbing, snowboarding, biking, and spending time with friends and family. We pray that he will overcome his injuries and still be able to enjoy these things.

When Hunter got to the hospital, it was a miracle he was still alive. I have watched my son grow up his entire life and had no idea how strong he truly was. The number of medical mountains he has climbed in this short time has amazed even the doctors. Although he has come a long way, he still has so far to go. There is no time frame and we are taking it day by day.
