Help Me to Not Default!

Four years ago, I graduated college with the expectation we all have: that in six months, when my loans come due, I'll have a stable job and enough money saved up to make my monthly payments forever. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case for me. I've been in and out of low-paying temp jobs for the past year, and my private loans have been rotating through collections agencies and forbearances for as long as possible. I'm officially out of time. Despite crying on the phone to several people at my loan company, they are unable to do anything more, or even lower my payments once I've paid off the balance due. I have only a few more weeks before my loans default. Given that my cosigner passed away in 2010 (and my loan company doesn't know), I'm scared of the repercussions and have finally decided to swallow my pride and ask for help. 

I'm currently living off of unemployment and the generosity of my family while I desperately look for jobs. I have no intention of being in this situation forever, so I really just need enough money to pay off my current balance and give myself a few more months to find stable employment. I need $1700 to pay off the current amount due; $2400 to make July's payment as well. 

Accepting money from people has never been easy for me; I'm not even comfortable with dates paying for meals unless I know I can quickly return the favor. Mustering the courage to make this page has been difficult, since I know I may not be able to pay you back, but your contributions, of any amount, would mean the world to me.
