Help Support Laurel

This year has been very stressful and heartbreaking due to COVID 19, where many loved ones have passed away or become extremely ill from the virus. It all seems surreal until it actually happens to you or your family.

Laurel Straub is a loving, caring mother of 3, grandma of 2, a wife and friend of many. She has been fighting covid, pneumonia, and has found out she has CLL leukemia through blood tests while being treated for Covid. All of this combined has made it very hard to fight off the nasty virus. She has been hospitalized for over a week, given blood thinners, a dozen IVs and treatments such as plasma, blood transfusions, and Remdevir. She has been struggling to breath on her own, leaving her to be on a constant Bipap machine at 100% oxygen - her lungs are finding it hard to function with the virus.
We are hoping and praying she doesn’t need to be put on a ventilator since she will need to be put under and we won’t have any contact with her during that time.

Laurel will be needing extra care and treatments after her stay in the hospital for the CLL and to ensure she stays healthy. Hoping for a smooth road to recovery.
