Laura is a single mom who works so hard to make the best life she can for her and her kids on a small income. She had just recently fallen in love with a great guy, had secured some stable work, and was in the process of moving to an apartment with her boyfriend and her two children. Her life was finally coming together after the struggles of divorce.
On Tuesday, June 14, a mother's worst nightmare came true. Police informed Laura that her two children Aaron (12) and Kathryn (10) had tragically lost their lives in a house fire when staying with relatives.
We are starting this GoFundMe to help our friend Laura with the funeral and living costs associated with the tragic and unexpected loss of her children. Laura is so amazing, caring, compassionate, and hardworking. She is a great friend and listener and she deserves as much love and support as possible. She would do the same for anyone.

EDIT 6/17/16: Because this campaign has been so hugely successful, the GoFundMe team has asked me to write in more detail how I know Laura and show the funds will be spent so generous donors like yourself don't get taken advantage of.
My name is Kelly. I live in Minneapolis with my husband and two dogs and I met Laura through some mutual friends. The common bond that Laura and I and our other mutual friends share is that we are are vegans and volunteer with an animal advocacy group. Laura is such an amazing person. She is a talented artist. She makes her money from commissions from her art. This fund was designed to help her overcome the financial obstacles related to the loss of her children. Since she lost her children in a different state, this fund will be used to help cover expenses related to flying down to Ohio, and transportation back. This fund is also designed to help cover the cost of funeral expenses and other unexpected livin expenses that may arise from this tragedy.
I have spoken to Laura and granted her access as the only beneficiary to this fund. She will be the one with access to withdraw at any time.
