Help Archie Come Home

My cat Archie has been taken in to the Royal Dick Vet School in Edinburgh in life threatening condition. He was admitted on Wednesday the the 20th of January after referral from our vet in Dundee.

He is currently in intensive care, hooked up to oxygen and two drains as he has pyothorax and pneumonia which has caused a build up of fluid in and around his lungs. This is very serious with felines - and it caused Archie to have laboured breathing, loss of appetite and made him very lethargic. 

So far, they have him hooked up to a drain to clear fluid from his lungs, however, they have found a pocket of fluid in the centre of his chest that they can't get to with drains. This means that Archie may to go in for surgery if it can't be cleared- which is going to raise our estimate from 3-5k up to 6-8k.

We have asked for a payment plan but this is not something they offer, and because of how critical his condition is it is the one thing they may need to do to clear the fluids and get him better. 

This little champ has been by my side through a lot of trauma over the last few years and really is my best friend - and I'm needing to step up and make sure he gets all the treatment he needs to come back home to me. 

I'm asking for some help raising the extra £4000 in funds for him. I have already raised £450 and should be able to use my wages next week also, but it's gonna be a struggle especially now that he needs surgery.

I'm asking for donations, no matter how small. If you can't donate anything - even just sharing it with your friends would mean the world, or just sending some love our way.

This little boy is my best friend. He is the kindest, most gentle boy and what is happening to him right now is cruel. He is only 5 and a half and has a whole life ahead of him.

Please help me bring him home.
