14 year old Magenta's Cancer Battle

Magenta is a 14 year old girl with a bright future and a positive attitude. She was recently diagnosed with Cancer (throughout a lot of her body possibly rhabdomyosarcoma which is a form of muscle tissue cancer). Fortunately, she is at St Jude in good hands and it’s our understanding that the hospital covers medical bills that insurance will not and the cost of room, and board, which is a huge blessing. However, Magenta’s parents still have bills coming in at home and her father, Eric, has had no choice but to come back to Missouri and return to work only a few days after finding out.

 

Our Families goal is to raise money to keep parents by her side as often as possible while she WINS this battle with cancer, to help this family focus on their daughters health and their younger daughter, Violet, and lift some of the financial burden off of their chest.  I also want to provide anything Magenta needs as she goes through the healing process. 

 

This family remains very strong in their faith and they are so humble. We had to practically beg to put together this fund raiser and we set the financial goal for them.  They give back so much between church and their community and it’s time for some of us to return that favor even though they would never ask us to.  While speaking with Magentas dad, Eric, he told me one of her greatest concerns while at St Jude is not herself but some of the younger kids fighting a similar battle who don’t understand it.
