Let's help Amanda kick this brain tumor's @ss!
Many of you know Amanda's journey, but for those of you who don't I'm going to share a quick glimpse. Amanda is a mom of two adorable children- Patrick who is 3 and Rose who will turn 2 this year. Shortly after Rose was born, Amanda's life took some twists and she began a new chapter as a divorced mom. Rose has Down syndrome and both children have multiple food allergies. Amanda is an amazing mom who cooks all of the meals for her children from scratch and ensures Rose receives up to 5 therapy sessions every week-- on top of the million other things mom's of kids with special needs do! She loves her children to the moon and back! Somehow Amanda navigates all of this with incredible grace while also excelling at her full time career. And now, Amanda faces another twist...
Two weeks ago this amazing, young woman just learned that she has a brain tumor. Amanda will undergo brain surgery on October 23rd. Her neurosurgeon expects she will follow with 4-6 weeks of radiation and possibly chemo. With the fire Amanda has in her soul, I am sure she has what it takes to beat this!
Amanda is always the first to help and advocate for others but would never ask for help herself. Therefore I, as Amanda's friend, am asking for her.
Let's help Amanda focus on what really matters-- getting better. I started this GoFundMe to help Amanda pay expenses not covered by insurance.
