Hi everyone. The Viewer Discretion Legislation Coalition was formed in London, Ontario on Oct 6,2020 in response to the graphic anti-abortion pamphlets being put into people private mailboxes. Children were finding these bloody, gruesome pictures of alleged aborted fetuses and we're having nightmares. People who had experienced any kind of pregnancy loss were being re-traumatized. There was outrage in the community.
This same group of individuals then started displaying these same images on large signs at busy intersections throughout London.
The VDLC started counter protesting and counter flyering as well as reaching out to local, provincial and federal politicians. In our efforts, petitions were started and our group expanded enormously.
London is not the only community to be subject to these images. In fact communities across this Country have been impacted. We are at the point in our movement that expansion is necessary to help more communities.
We have begun an advertising campaign from the corridor of Ottawa to Niagara Falls to London. This of course is costly. That is why we are asking anyone to help that can. We know people care about this issue and stand with us. We know people would like to see change.
