Care for Kurtis

Kurtis and his family have been close family friends of ours since Kurtis was born. He has been one of our son Asher's best mates ever since. They grew up together planning how they would live in a bush hut together in the middle of nowhere and live off the fat of the land! Kurtis was in our care while Kerry worked and he was the kindest hearted little boy you would ever find.
At this stage of his life, at the ripe old age of 21...Kurtis has found himself with a brain tumour. Diagnosed after having a motor bike accident resulting from a seizure. Tomorrow Kurtis has brain surgery to remove the tumour. The duration of his recovery is unknown and some of the side effects of the surgery include paralysis, deafness, speech imparment, and blindness. We are hopeful that he will make a full recovery from these side effects which may take a few weeks. 
Kurtis presently lives in Melbourne and his family live in Toowoomba, Qld...this in itself poses a problem regarding accomodation and travel. He and his family will have to have extended amounts of time off work. His medication costs are already adding up before his surgery has even begun.  At this stressful and devastating time in their lives we would love to relieve a little of the pressure for them by helping them with the obvious financial burden.
We thank everyone wholeheartedly in advance for any contribution made and it will be wonderful to see  Kurtis back on the raod to recovery ASAP!
