Nick & Patt's 40th Anniversary

This year for every holiday (Christmas, Valentines Day, Upcoming Easter, Birthdays etc.) we have given them envelopes that they have placed in a container and been instructed not to open until the 28th of July for the Celebration of an AMAZING 40 YEARS!

For our parents anniversary last year we began the first step of this process by getting my dad a passport. He asked questions about why he needed it and I told him it was in case I needed him to visit me in India. He has no clue what we have been planning and neither does my mom. Our dad has never been out of the country and we so badly want them to share this experience together.

We have started out the foundation with $1500 hidden in the envelopes at home. We will continue to give envelopes of cash for the remaining holidays this year. 

Our goal between the 4 children is to contribute $2500 (MINIMUM) by the beginning of July. 

This past Christmas, Erin, Kevin and my parents were at the house celebrating and playing our annual dose of board games etc. The first game they played was a game that had you pick cards from a deck with misc. questions on them. 

My dad picked the first card, the question just happened to be

"If you could travel anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you travel to"

He answered. 

"Ireland, to have the opportunity to trace our family roots and see some of our Clancy/Madden heritage"

We could not have planned this any better ourselves.

So, we made the decision at that point, Ireland was the destination.

We know how much our parents have impacted us and we know the impact they have made on so many other peoples lives as well. 

We love them so much and are blessed with the example of true love and friendship that they have shown us.

Asking for money is not the easiest thing in the world to do, but without a little help we won't be able to make this dream a reality. Any amount will suffice and be more than enough. Whether it is $5 or $500. It will all go to a great cause. A great couple. A great Mother and Father. A great Friend. 

Whenever and however you know my parents, we would love for you all to be involved with this celebration.

In addition to any contribution we thought it would be meaningful to have everyone participate by sending a card filled out in any fashion you find true to your relationship with our folks. Whether you want to tell a story about them that you remember, or you just want to say Congrats! It is all up to you.

We will give them all of the cards on this day of celebration with of course the Surprise of this 2nd Honeymoon Trip.

We will not give my parents any information of how much any individual donated. If you donate, you will be included as a giver. It's that simple, no $ amount attached.

I do not have everyones email, as my parents have a broad spectrum of friends and family all over the country. 

So, I would ask that if you know of anyone from childhood or just people we don't know personally that you could forward this page to, we would love your assistance with that.
