Kevin Johnson’s liver transplant expenses.

My dad, Kevin Johnson has been very sick this past year and is in need of a liver transplant. Right now he is in the process of going through the paperwork which involves testing, meeting surgeons, nutritionists, social workers and financial needs for the transplant. They will have to be up to the Liver Clinic several times a month through this process and they have advised him that he needs to stay close in case an emergency arises which means the additional cost for gas, motel rooms and food. The Liver Clinic is in Murray where they will have to stay close to the hospital for all the tests required. The medical bills are coming in and it is getting very costly for them. They require someone to be there as his fulltime caregiver which has been my brother and mom. My mom has had to quit her job and be his fulltime caregiver in order to get him to all his appointments as he can no longer drive. We know that times are tough for so many right now and are so appreciative of any amount that can be donated. This will take some of the burden off of their shoulders and give a bit of relief. We love our dad, husband, Grandpa, brother, uncle and friend and hope that we can get him feeling better so he can spend more quality time with his family and friends.
