For all that know me well, will know most my vocabulary is based on animals, and for some of you that I have put to sleep in doing so, I am truly sorry for that, but it is my wiring and passion that is at fault and it is something I simply cannot turn off or change. From the moment I wake up, to the second I fall asleep, I no doubt have one of our rescues in my mind and questioning how I can improve here. How can I better their lives even more? How can I make a difference to more abused and neglected farm animals?
I have always had a passion for animals and brought up around them, but did not ever imagine I could make a difference to their lives with how limiting things are for me health wise.
Being faced with severe traumatic cases, where their lives are in your hands is a really scary experience to face, especially ones that nobody will take on. The extensive knowledge I have gained from learning hands on and having to research and look outside the box for things that aren't quite textbook, have equipped me for life. To watch an animal on its death bed, and an abused or neglected animal recover is a feeling like no other.
It is them who truly saved me and showed me that I do have a purpose in life even with all that I face.
The powerful connection I have with animals, especially sheep I cant even begin to explain. They are incredibly special to me and the bond that we share and what they gift me to achieve.
I would like to try to study so I can learn more and have some of my knowledge on paper to be taken more seriously by some. When we have a sick animal it is crucial to move quickly, as a lot of the time they hide it for sometime, and only show when it is an emergency. I think covering more areas would be beneficial for all that come here,and hopefully reduce the cost of medical bills.
My other half is also currently working on a cabana camper van that we have bought to turn into an animal float for easier transportation. We are hoping to keep it for this purpose as its already looking fantastic and would be great for reducing stress on the animals with how my other half has designed it, but if beneficial to sell once complete, we may be forced to sell so we can purchase something else for this purpose and any money left to use on fencing.
Our car is on it's last legs after all she has had to endure so we very much need to get something better for our rescues.
Please help us to make a difference and to be that compassionate person you can turn to without judgment, who sees all animals as equal and wont turn away cases that have been labeled too difficult or unimportant.
