My name is Caitlin Rice, and I am a sophomore Business Management major at Texas A&M. Last year I had the wonderful opportunity to travel with other students from Mays Business School to Panama as a part of the Global Business Brigades. But this summer I get to take it to the next step, as I was chosen as this semester's VP of Administration for the A&M chapter. Now, I have an opportunity to do something I really love- serving native Spanish speakers- in a leadership capacity. Not only that, but I will also be developing my business skills and multicultural understanding, as well as building on my past experience to make the program even more effective.
How am I to accomplish such a task? We will be working with under-resourced communities in Panama to empower economic development by providing financial literacy education along with business development and counseling to micro-entrepreneurs. As the VP of Administration, it is my job to plan and execute pre-departure meetings so that all of our brigaders are amply prepared for their upcoming journey. I am proud to say that we have already had several successful meetings, and that our group is looking like they’re ready to make a difference!
But this is a tall order, and we can't do it alone.
That's where you come in! I would like to formally invite you to partner with me on this trip through financial support. Please know that YOU play a huge role in serving these local communities because we wouldn't be able to do this without you.
Once you donate, I will be sending out updates on the the impact we're making and random fun facts about the Global Business Brigades and Panama!
Thank you in advance for giving these deserving communities a helping hand, and for helping me be able to serve the people I’ve become so passionate about!
