Help Bindi get her surgeries!

Four months ago I rescued Bindi from our local animal shelter. She had been dumped there because her previous owners said they didn’t want her any longer. I knew from the moment I met her that she was a complete sweetheart who needed and deserved a loving home. Even though I was an avid cat lover, she worked her way into my heart instantly. Her medical issues started out with stress colitis from being in the shelter and getting used to her new home. We got that calmed down with prescription food, some medication, and lots of love. After having Bindi for about 2.5 months, I had an accident and broke two vertebrae. Because of this, I needed lots of help and many friends were coming in and out of the house which took a bit for Bindi to get used to, and the stress colitis came back, which entailed additional vet expenses. Just as she was starting to improve, she came home from an outing last week bunny hopping and limping on her hind legs. It kept getting worse over New Year’s weekend and I took her to the vet early this week. They needed to do sedated X-rays because she was too fearful to let the vet do an orthopedic evaluation on her. She went in today for her sedated exam and X-rays and the findings were torn cranial cruciate ligaments (similar to ACLs in humans) in both knees with the left being worse than the right, but both requiring expensive surgery. Bindi has brought nothing but joy to me since I rescued her. Really she has rescued me too. I am disabled, living on disability and a few hours of work each week. I’m on a very set income and need help paying for her surgeries. It would mean the world to me and Bindi (and her kitty sisters) if you could help us out!
