Lori's Fund

Over the last 2 years Lori has been battling stage 4 colon cancer. Many of you have been following her journey through her posts that depict her devotion to the Lord and upbeat spirit throughout it all.  To give you an idea of what the last 2 years have been like for her, I will give you a brief overview. She endured 6 months of chemotherapy that was so harsh she was hospitalized 12 times during its course (usually a week at a time). Then her care was transferred to Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia. There she endured many rounds of chemotherapy, procedures, a month of daily radiation treatments, tests and an abundance of appointments, all that required her to be in Philadelphia for extended periods of time (hotels, food, gas), not to mention the unplanned trips when she would have complications, or when our local hospitals said they couldn’t treat her and transferred her via ambulance to Philadelphia. Through all of this, her husband, Bryan, has been by her side, making sure she was cared for, getting her anything that she needed, missing work to be with her, because she needed him.  Recently Lori and Bryan have been informed that she has a very limited amount of time left on this earth and with Bryan. Everything is in place at this time at their home, and Bryan is determined to spend every moment that she has left with her. This will mean that he will not be working. All of the medical bills for Lori’s care, medications, and rented medical equipment continue to arrive, along with everyday expenses of mortgage, utilities and food. It is my hope that maybe there is one thing that can be done to take away one worry from their already full plates. If you can give anything it will be greatly appreciated. If you cannot all we ask for is your prayers in this difficult time.
