Hello, as many of y'all know my dog Diamond is the craziest, yet sweetest puppy ever. She has been with me through all of life's ups and downs over the past 8 years. I recently took her to the vet because I noticed that she was in pain, uncomfortable and not able to jump/move the way that she used to. At the vet we found a softball sized abdominal mass. We were then referred to a radiologist to get a closer look, and there is a significant internal mass on the lining/wall near, what would be her belly button if you will. After those two vet visits, and a prescription for pain medication we are already $700 down. Her vet is recommending that we aspirate the mass- meaning they stick a needle in it to figure out if it is cancerous or not, then take X-rays of her chest and belly to make sure there are no other hidden masses or foreign objects. Then finally consult and book with the a speciality surgeon to have this mass removed. Since it is so large my regular vet is not able to perform the surgery, she ball parks around a minimum of $2,000 for everything.
Diamond is literally my fur baby, and I can't imagine letting her go at only 8 years old. This asking for financial help thing does not come easy for me, so in advance I want to thank y'all from the bottom of my heart.
