Please help support Afzol’s Family

আফজলের জন্য ভালবাসা। ৩ জানুয়ারি ২০২১ তারিখ সকাল ৭:৩০ মিনিটে কোভিড-১৯ জটিলতায় আফজল চলে গেছে না ফেরার দেশে, ফিরে গেছে তার স্রষ্টার কাছে। ইন্না লিল্লাহি ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহি রাজিউন। আমরা শোকাহত। মাত্র উনিশ বছরের এক কিশোর দুচোখে একরাশ স্বপ্ন নিয়ে, একটা নিরাপদ জীবন আর পরিবারকে আর্থিক স্বাচ্ছন্দ প্রদানের দায়িত্ব কাঁধে নিয়ে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে এসেছিল।চরম দারিদ্র্যের মধ্যে বেড়ে ওঠা পরিবারের বড় ছেলে আফজল কৈশোরেই পিতৃহীন হলে মা আর ছোট ভাইবোনদের বড় দায়িত্ব তার ছোট কাঁধে এসে পড়ে। যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে অভিবাসী হয়ে দেশে থাকা মা আর ভাইবোনদের অন্ন, বস্ত্র,বাসস্থান আর শিক্ষার নিশ্চয়তার জন্য আফজল নিরলস পরিশ্রম করে যাচ্ছিল। নিজের একটা সংসার গড়ার বুকভরা স্বপ্ন নিয়ে মাত্র দু'বছর আগে সামিয়াকে বিয়ে করে এবং মাত্র গেল নভেম্বর মাসে নিজবাড়িতে সংসার শুরু করে। স্বপ্নকে বাস্তবে রূপায়নের জন্য আফজল নিরন্তর পরিশ্রম করে যাচ্ছিল যাতে করে সে তার নতুন বাড়ি আর দেশে থাকা মা আর ভাইবোনদের জন্য যথেষ্ট পরিমাণ সঞ্চয় করতে পারে।আর তখনই অতিমারি কোভিড তার এই অভিযাত্রাকে স্তব্ধ করে দেয়, দীর্ঘদিন যুদ্ধ করে অবশেষে ৩ জানুয়ারি মাত্র ২৬ বছরে থেমে যায় আফজলের দেহঘড়ি। পেছনে ফেলে যায় প্রিয়তমা স্ত্রী, দুখিনী মা,প্রিয় ভাইবোন, বন্ধু বান্ধব আর শুভার্থীদের। আফজলের এই চলে যাওয়া তার পরিবারের জন্য এক মহা দুর্যোগ বয়ে এনেছে, তার পরিবারের আর্থিক নিরাপত্তার জন্য অনেক অর্থের প্রয়োজন। এই কঠিন সময়ে আন্তরিকতার সঙ্গে সহযোগিতার হাত বাড়িয়ে দেওয়ার জন্য সকলের প্রতি উদাত্ত আহ্বান জানাচ্ছি। সংগৃহীত অর্থ তার পরিবারের নিরাপত্তার জন্য ব্যয় করা হবে। আপনাদের আন্তরিক সহযোগিতা আফজলের প্রতি অফুরান ভালবাসার স্মারক হয়ে থাকবে। অনেক শ্রদ্ধা ও শুভেচ্ছা।।

At 8:15 AM, on January 3rd, 2021, Afzol Hussain passed away due to complications from COVID-19.

At the age of 19, Afzol immigrated to the US in hopes of building a new life and providing for his family back home in Bangladesh. Growing up in extreme poverty, being the eldest in his family and having lost his father at a young age, Afzol felt a strong sense of responsibility to help his mother and siblings in any way that he could. Since arriving to America, Afzol has worked tirelessly to send money back home so that his family could have food on the table, clothes to wear and have the opportunity for an education.

But his dreams did not stop there. Just two years ago, he married his now widowed wife, Samia, and had hopes of starting his own family. This past November, Afzol and Samia moved into their first home.

In order to make his dreams come true, Afzol worked all hours of the day, pushing himself mentally and physically, so that he could save for his new home and continue to provide for his family overseas. Life, for Afzol, began to shine and his heart and mind soared with pride and gratitude. Unfortunately, his life, and everything he had worked so hard for, began to slip away from him when he contracted COVID-19. Like most of his life, Afzol fought fiercely, and with great bravery, to overcome the virus and regain his health. However, Afzol lost his battle with COVID-19 and passed away early morning on January 3rd at the young age of 26, leaving behind a wife, family, friends and unfinished dreams.

We are asking for any kind of support to help his family through this incredibly difficult time. The funds raised will be used to help support his family.
