On new year's eve 2020 my mum's husband and soul mate passed away.
For a few months he's had not been feeling well, and lost over 3 stone in weight! my mum asked and pleaded with the doctors to find out what is wrong but their efforts to help were slow and mums voice fell on deaf ears.
But finally on 28th December he's was taken in to PCH by ambulance. They discovered he had very nasty gall bladder infection and were treating him with antibiotics and pain relief. But on the morning of the 31st December the hospital phoned my mum and said they think he won't make it and nothing more they can do for him. As you can imagine we were all in shock, and my mum heartbroken! He only went in with an infection!
A few hours later we got the call that he had passed away! We don't know why untill the postmortem.
My mum is devastated she has lost her soul mate and best friend and husband!
And on top of the heartache she is worried sick about the financial side of it all.
We have a small amount to help towards the funeral, but it's not enough.
Plus she is also disabled and still a couple of years away from pension age so now does not know how she will pay her own way. Especially while she sorts things out these next couple of months.
Even more so now the virus is going and it is taking months for people to claim benefits.
We are all trying to help but can also only do so much.
I am so worried about her and would like to try make this just a little bit easier for her.
So if you feel like you can help and donate no matter how big or small you would be making a huge difference in my mum's life and helping to take a big weight off her shoulders.
Please don't feel you have to as we know times are hard.
We appreciate you all. And will keep you all updated
