Louie’s Ghostbusters Challenge to help ABC Daycare

Please help support Louie age 3 in raising money to support ABC daycare in Allerton Bywater. Louie will be walking / scootering 20 miles during the month of January, looking for ghosts. ( Louie is Ghostbusters mad and loves playing/dancing to ghostbusters). We will also be leaving painted rocks round the village of Allerton Bywater for people to see when Louie has found/ caught a ghost, marshmallow man or slimer. We are aiming to raise much needed funds for this fantastic charity run nursery who have fallen on hard tones due to covid 19z and have not been able to hold their usual fundraising events this year. Please see their story below: SAVE OUR NURSERY We are a charity run nursery based in Allerton Bywater and are run by Allerton Bywater Community Partnership. We offer full daycare provision for children between the ages of 3 months up to 5 years and also run a before and afterschool club as well as holiday club provision for children within the local area and beyond.  We have been established for nearly 16 years and have always had an extremely good reputation for the care that we provide. We have seen many families start in our baby room and go all through the nursery returning for out of school care.  We have supported a variety of children from vulnerable backgrounds as well as children with additional needs. Our staff are extremely committed and several have worked in the setting for more than 10 years.  The last year has been extremely difficult for everybody and nobody could have predicted the Covid situation and the devastating effect that this would have on businesses all over the country.  During the initial lockdown we stayed open in order to offer support for the children of keyworkers and had to make some tough decisions in regards to our staff. Sadly after this period we lost a lot of income from families who had either lost jobs due to Covid or just simply did not feel comfortable sending their children to nursery with the pandemic at it`s peak.  Although we are steadily increasing our numbers we are currently in a position where we are not making ends meet and the stark reality is that if we do not manage to raise some much needed funds we will have to close our doors indefinitely.  This would have a huge impact on not only our families and staff but also on the wider community due to Vicars Court being used as a community space.  We would welcome any support that could be given and are hopeful that things will improve for us as life resumes some sort of normality. https://gofund.me/9d390e18
