Ruthie’s Amputation - Hit & Run Survivor Kitty

Hello, The following GoFundMe is to raise funds to Ruthie - an abandoned kitten who has hit and left for dead. After examination, it was determined her right rear femur is shattered and that she has a small fracture to her left pelvis. The pelvic fracture will heal on its own, the leg will need to be amputated. I am raising funds for her as the expenses for this neighborhood cat are very unexpected. It crushed me someone would hit her and leave her there. I couldn’t let her suffer any longer. When she started to drag herself across the street to me and my two three-legged dogs, I sprung into action to do whatever I could to help. She’s stable and is doing well considering. She will purr and knead herself a spot while sitting on my lap (carefully lifted up). Currently living in a large dog crate to confine her movements with a cozy bed. The surgery will cost anywhere between $2,500 and $4,500 based on the estimates that I’ve received. Any funds that do not go directly to the amputation will be used to have her spayed, vaccinated, and cared for as she recovers to live a life where she will never be forgotten. 2020 has been weird and at times demoralizing. The outpouring of love and support for her and the compliments offered to me have restored faith in humanity, it reminded me of the good that’s out there even when the awful happens.
