COVID Financial Support for the Maez Family

I am fundraising for my mother Melissa Maez, unfortunately as of December 28th she has been diagnosed with a severe case of diabetes with extremely high sugar levels and COVID-19, on top of these diagnoses she has had very bad asthma which is affecting her drastically. Due to the pandemic she has struggled to find good work to pay bills and support her four other children, ages of 14, 12, 9, and baby of 19 months. For better opportunities they decided to move from Denver, CO. to Chicago, IL. and since then have been staying with a family member in a two bedroom, struggling and continuing to look for work during this time. During my mother’s hospital stay my 14 year old brother is trying his best to take care of our 3 younger siblings. We are asking for any donation for my mother Melissa due to COVID-19, not finding work, personal bills, not having insurance to cover the hospital bill and meds for her admission and meds she will need once she is released from the hospital to treat diabetes, as well as financial support to cover a stay in a motel to quarantine away from all family members for 14 days when released, and to help feed her four young children.
