My name is Leo Coakley, my father and myself are on the verge of homelessness after he lost his job in the IT field due to company wide layoffs some months ago. Since then he has been unable to secure a job and what little money we had left, in addition to what little income I was bringing in at my job in the food service industry, soon dwindled with bills falling past due one by one.
I hope to raise this money to buy us more time so that my father can secure a job and we may finally stabilize. I promise you it will be used on only the most essential of expenses (Housing, groceries, gasoline). Effective today (6/9/2016) we are to have moved out of the house we had been renting, yet lack the funds to finance even the most basic of accomodations for the interim.
We are not a family who asks for help, but given how dire the situation is, we are compelled to do what must be done to survive. We are not asking for any grand totals, only that you give what you can, and please circulate this such that perhaps another could offer monetary aid in your place. Anything would be appreciated at this point.
To any who work in the IT Field and are in need of a Data Architect, or several other relevant positions in the Austin area, or will allow a working from home position, this would also be an indescribably appreciated boon. In addition, if you have any potential internships within the realm of Javascript I would greatly appreciate anything you have to offer.
