Help Serena remove a tattoo

Hi everyone, freshman year I decided to get a stick and poke of my boyfriend at the time’s initials. I was told it would only last up to 3 years only to find out it was permanent and has not faded at all. Inevitably the tattoo outlasted the boyfriend. Getting it removed will cost around $1,200 and getting it covered will be a couple hundred as well. Any amount of money would go a long way to repair this stupid decision. Thanks :)
