Youth Building Rennovation Project

More To Life is a non-profit 501(c)3 that was created to support and provide positive alternatives for teens. They are partnering with a local church in Tonasket, WA to rennovate an unused storage building into a youth center. Tonasket is in north Okanogan County, about 20 miles from the Canadian Border. This county ranks in the top 10 in WA state for teenage drinking, drug use, pregnancy, crime, and poverty. Without any place for teens to hang out in this part of the county, they often fall into poor behaviors for lack of any other choices to make.
A youth center would provide a positive and safe place for Tonasket's teens to congregate.  The 50' x25' center plans to be open after school and host special events such as movie nights and concerts. But first, it badly needs rennovations. Phase 1 will be the roof followed by the floor, walls, electrical, plumbing, etc. Once the structure is redone, the decor and furnishings will be next. A ping-pong table and foosball game have already been donated. And a smoothie bar is also planned.
The community is excited to get started on this project. As soon as the first $12,000 is raised, we can begin Phase 1 - the roof.
