Mama Young Medical Bills

My mother, Terri, has been a nurse all my life. She has helped so many people throughout the years that it would be impossible to name them all. From working with mentally and physically disabled, to caring for the nuns at Mount St. Joseph, to being the elementary school nurse, to taking care of those with dementia, her whole world has been revolved around caring for others. No matter what life threw at her, she always found a way to give to those in need and to provide for my siblings and I. She has always been a pillar of strength and determination for anyone who has had the privilege of truly knowing her.
April 1, 2016 my family received news that would change our lives from that moment forward. We received news that my mother, Terri Young (aka Nurse Young, Dama, Mommo) had had agrand maul seizure and was being transported to the hospital. After cat scans, MRI's, and days of uncertainty, a biopsy finally determined what we had all feared...
My mother had been diagnosed with small cell lung cancer, which had spread to her brain.
Radiation therapy of the brain began immediately, and we were all amazed at her strength and positive outlook on everything. She continued to work full time, would use her lunch to go and receive her daily treatments, and would then return to work as a nurse helping those with dementia. We never heard her complain once. She kept reassuring us that she would beat this and not to worry. She just kept fighting.
Fast forward a few weeks and chemotherapy began to treat the active tumor in her lung. The first round was very intense, and for the first time we all saw the true reality of what we were facing. It completely wiped her out. The medications completely drained her and she was no longer able to work.....but she just kept fighting. This setback lead her doctors to postpone further treatment until she was stronger. Unfortunately, this took longer than any one had expected and she has not been able to return to work.
It's been a few months now since it all began, she has completed 2 rounds of chemotherapy, and SHE JUST KEEPS FIGHTING!
She he has gained some strength back and we are finally again seeing the spark that makes her shine so bright!
In the meantime, bills are piling up, and moms PTO has run out. She still has 2 more rounds of chemotherapy as well as all of the blood test and cat scans along the way. After all she has done for us and so many people, my siblings and I are asking for your help to ease some of the pressure. Even the smallest donation would be overwhelmingly appreciated by our entire family.
Thank you you and have a blessed day!
