Help Banjo Percy Return to the Life He's Earned

This fundraiser is on behalf of Randy James, who commonly goes by  Banjo Percy. He's been incarcerated for the past 13 years.  We all have our biases, conscious or subconscious, around individuals living in prison. What I ask of you is to listen to Banjo's story, and to draw your conclusion after the fact. He's written a blog, which you can read here . You may find parts of yourself in his story.
               Banjo Percy has spent his years in prison immersing himself in music, art, and self-growth. You'll find his artwork scattered along this page. He's spread his passion through teaching classes, and educating fellow inmates. The COVID-19 crisis has made blatantly clear how subpar and unjust the conditions have been for Banjo and his fellow inmates. Despite this life-threatening stressor, Banjo has kept his amazing attitude. wishes to shed light on the dehumanization of the incarcerated community, and wishes to educate the public. His wife, Brittney, has also stuck with him through his entire journey. Recently, the two of them recorded an interview discussing the conditions in Banjo's facility during the pandemic, which you can listen to here .
              Banjo is currently seeking a pardon, while he tries to file a motion for a relief to shorten his sentence. As many of you surely know, legal fees are expensive. This fundraiser is to try to provide the necessary funds for Banjo and Brittney to continue to have the representation they need to be reunited.
