Treatment for Firefighter Marcel

Hey everyone, I’m a firefighter paramedic in the DFW area just NorthWest of Dallas, who was diagnosed with an extremely rare disease (especially for someone my age) called Ménière’s in October. A few of the symptoms include a constant muffled and ringing sound of the affected ear, feeling like your ear won’t drain, extreme vertigo, nausea, and uncontrolled eye movements. I’ve already visited with a few specialist, and have gone through several tests to see how far the disease has progressed. The symptoms are supposed to decrease with a low sodium diet, and a couple prescription medications. However, I still get random “attacks.” I’ve also started vestibular rehabilitation in order to train my brain new ways to balance (yes that’s a thing). The effort it takes to keep my symptoms slightly managed is exhausting to say the least. This fundraiser will go towards a treatment called “Regenokine” or “Orthokine,” which has been known to help symptoms improve by 80%, and in some cases make them go completely away. There’s only ONE doctor in the entire country that does this treatment specifically for my disease...and he works out of New York. Typically this treatment is used by professional athletes for joint pain, and has been used by UFC president Dana White who also has Ménière’s Disease. The Doctor in New York has told me I need to dedicate five straight days in order to get injections every 24 hours. Words can’t describe how grateful I would be if I was able to raise the money for this treatment. If the disease progresses enough, it’s possible that I’ll lose hearing out of my affected ear and symptoms would increase in severity. If this happens, it eventually means I won’t be able to do the job I love doing that also provides for my family.
