Hi everyone I’m trying to put together some support and help for my “ little sister “ , her wife and their family! Baby Maddison will be expecting to make her arrival into this world in January !! Although this is suppose to be a very exciting time, Cessy and Brittany have already endured many stresses and many unknown of what the future holds for this precious little girl . This was one of the last updates ! BABY MADDISON UPDATE: Results from the amnio test are complicated. Still no definite answers. But basically, there’s a large extra piece (a duplication) on chromosome number 1. This change only occurred in some of her cells, so the other cells are completely normal. Depending on the ratio of normal cells to duplicated cells placed around parts of her body, will determine the effects or outcomes of those features. Because of this duplication baby Maddison may have some type of learning disability and may look a little different than others. How severe or how mild her symptoms/physical features become depends on her continued development through pregnancy. Worst case - she doesn’t make it through delivery or she passes away shortly after being born. BUT, we are not focusing on that. Trying to stay positive & optimistic At today’s appointment, baby Maddison is weighing in at 3lbs & she is measuring as she should be. Oh & she already has hair!! Just look at that precious little face & those little hands always right up there ...continued thoughts & prayers for baby Maddison are appreciated. Still a long journey ahead of us, but we are prepared for it. They are already driving to so many different appts and when she is born you can imagine the days in the NICU will be lots of time off of work , money will be used for loss of income, gas cards , food and travels back and forth between home and the hospital . I appreciate all your help and kindness for the Clark family !
