Steven “Steevo” Zen’s Memorial
Donation protected
Hey everyone. My name is Emma and I’m Steven’s daughter. My dad passed away December 8th, 2020. I didn’t have much time to prepare as we had only found out about dad’s cancer December 5th.
I truly hate to ask, because it’s the holidays and so many of you have been there for my dad time and time again. I can’t express how grateful I am to those who have helped him. Especially physically and financially.
I’m asking one final time for help with my dad. Between dad’s cremation costs and celebration of life- it’s gotten a little spendy for my family. As always, anything helps. Even shares!

I am so incredibly thankful for over $900 raised for dad’s costs in the first 24 hours.
I’ve been replaying the events of last week in my head over and over again. There’s a lot of anger and sadness thinking about what could have been reality had my family not helped me.
A social worker and hospice care lead came in Monday morning. They discussed my options. They told me dad qualified for inpatient hospice care. For the time being. If decided he could be transferred to outpatient care- hospice services would switch to private pay only and would not be eligible for any form of health insurance or financial assistance.
They told me I could pay over $300 a night for hospice care, take him home to care for him myself... or release him to a homeless shelter. As a college student with 2 jobs; I was extremely overwhelmed.
I’m haunted by the thought of how many families actually come across this very same obstacle and I’ve decided it’s completely unacceptable. So I’m raising the gofundme amount and any leftover donations will go towards homeless/less fortunate families battling cancer through the hospice house services. I will also provide documentation as proof for the cause so everyone knows their hard earned money is going towards something desperately needed. $10,000 will completely cover a month of hospice care. This could easily help multiple families.
Again, thank you. It warms my heart to see the power of music bring the world together in hard times. You’re all amazing.
